My Philosophy

My philosophy insists a lot from equality, because it’s a human right. Besides from fairness and loyalty, I want to live my life in the way I want and I don’t want other people to decide about decisions I have to do. I want to be happy in my life and this is one way to make dreams come true. Family and Friends are important to me, because these are people you can trust and who are always on your side. I want to believe in myself and don’t want to give up. 

Artist statement

I based my collage on Family and Friendship.

You have to be nice to your Family and your Friends, because these are people who are like the basement in your life. You can trust them and they are always on your side. They are like diamonds for you, because they are the most important persons in your life and you always should “have the hands open” for them. When you have a good relationship to these persons, you should be proud of it, because not all people feel this way. What you always should think about, is that you have to life your life how you want and you have to life your dreams, because you only life once.

The bottom of my collage represents the basement of my life.

The picture form the ground is there, because it represents the bottom/basement.

The forever sign, FUN and TRUST represents how I feel when I think about my family and my friends.

The pictures behind these letters and above are examples how a good Friendship or Family can look like. For example, the picture behind the FUN letters represents that you can have a lot of fun with other people.

Behind the family (black persons), you can see a lot of hands who are holding together. That represent trust and working as a group or being together.

The pink heart, the hands that are holding the world, the LOVE- letters and “liveyourlife” represents that you should like what you do, but on the way you want to do it, because your life is like your universe and it is what you make it.

This is in the middle of my collage, because these are topics, where you could think about the whole time and everything is depending on it.

Above these symbols, I chose the sky with clouds as the background and I put yellow stars at the front, because these are my dreams, which I want to follow.

The topographic maps, the airplane, the bag and the different buildings, represents that I want to travel around the world and I want to see different countries.

The German and the flag from the United States with the cathedral of cologne and the empire state building represents the country and the city where I come from and the country where I am right now.

The big eye, which has the color blue (like the world), as an eye color, represents that I want to have a realistic view of the world. That’s why I also have the two hands, which are holding each other, because racism is a big issue and I want people to think about this.
