art statement
The picture I took reminds me of a saying that "What pains us trains us". The broken tree which was chopped into two parts by the Hurricane Sandy. It's almost winter but he is still standing still and even without the upper part. The tree is the symbol of being brave and unyielding. I cannot help recalling of myself. I made perhaps the biggest decision in my life, studying and living aboard. It's tough for me, a dependent to live far away my family and the culture I used to be familiar with. I know that there's no shortcut to anywhere worth going. The philosophy I hold is that man is not made foe defeat. although life is tough, you can be tougher. The value affects me to try everything I could before the real failure. Being respectful to the nature, sometimes could teach you how to be a great gladiator.
