My Artist Statement: In my self-portrait the word “bang” is written on my hands, because for me life sometimes feel like a shoot, either in a positive or in the negative way. There are things happening in your life, so suddenly and unexpected that you are often feel shocked, speechless and helpless. Life is not a thing, about that you are able to control for hundred percent every moment. Of course you can propose theorems about what COULD happen next, but you can NEVER be sure about your propositions concerning future. Once I’ve seen a slogan, that says “Don’t cry about the past, it’s gone. Don’t stress about the future, it hasn’t arrived. Live in the present and make it beautiful“. For me this sentence presents motivation, because it helps me to see the importance in your present attitude, because this makes up your future and not the past that has already passed or either the future, about that you cannot be sure. Even if there are “bad bangs” in your life you shouldn’t hold on to them too much and let them become past and there might be new doors that open for you after such a “bang”. My nails are blue to represent freedom and peace, that I want to have in my life. You should hold on to your memories, because they created you, but you should not let them influence your future too exaggerated, but rather you might make new experience. According to the slogan “Life isn’t about finding yourself, its about creating yourself” a human’s self is never done and you are living your life through changes.
