My Art Statement: My idea of this self portrait is that a human has to be alone sometime, for somebody, most of their lives are about being alone. When we stayed at home, we felt lonely because no one to talk to. When we ate something alone, we also felt boring. But we may get some troubles or problems that we have to solve by ourselves when there is no one with us, we have to make different important choices just by ourselves without other people’s help, it may be tough and hard. Because of these different various choices we chose, our lives may be totally different than before. Sometimes we have to face lots of ‘enemies’ just by ourselves, these enemies can be tests, working or money, it means we may get lots of difficult matters, because life is difficult every time macroscopically. If I meet those problems I may be feel so afraid at first, then I may try to find some ways to solve them, no matter what they are. My self portrait describes that a man is walking through a tunnel. What I want to express through this picture is that when we are alone, we may feel afraid and lonely, it just like walking in a tunnel without knowing where the exit is. But if we just keep following though it, we may see the blue sky after the lone dark journey. About the last photo, it was taken by friend from last year. Generally, I want to express that, life is a long story, choices make the world, thinking is the good way to live even we have to live just by ourselves sometime. When we start doing something, we have to think more, because there are no one can help us nearby, we have to make every decisions cautiously, that also means be mellow to make our lives better.
