For my self portrait, I focused on visualizing the way I think. Thinking is an incredibly important part of my life. Not only is it necessary, but I enjoy it. Even when I spend so much time thinking, there is always so much I do not know. In the picture, most of the Italian landscape I am looking over is out of focus. One can see a general theme in it, but the blurriness makes the details impossible to see. When I think, I like to try and push my boundaries on what I can see and understand, but so much is still unclear to me. The clock on the horizon represents the significance of time in relation to my thinking; the past is unimportant, and the future is impossible to see. The only clear time is now, but even that is not totally clear.
