Artist Statement: This collage I based off of my personal philosophy of being yourself, and also that out of all of the negativity in the world, you have to just deal with it. The different figures across the bottom represents all of the different kinds of people, and that you have to do what you think is right and stand out. The red background represents the negativity in the world, the words are obviously many negative words, adding to the idea, and the heads at the top of the piece made of different cut outs from magasines represent how people now try to fit in to what people think is "beautiful."

Philosophy: In life I really just think being real is the most important thing. I’m not exactly the most “normal” person in the world, but I still think that I should be myself. I think as apposed to people trying to fit in with the rest of the crowd, people should try and be an individual and try to be original. Another one of my favorite quotes is “Trying to be someone else is a waste of the person you are.” I think that sums up how I feel pretty well.

I apologize for my tardiness
